🫓 1. Masala Chapati (Spiced Wheat Chapati) 



Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed

  • Oil or ghee for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add wheat flour, red chilli powder, turmeric, ajwain, and salt.

  2. Mix well, then gradually add water to form a soft, smooth dough.

  3. The dough should rest covered for 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. Divide into equal balls, roll each into a chapati.

  5. Heat a tawa, cook on both sides until golden spots appear.

  6. Brush with ghee or oil while cooking.

  7. Serve hot with curd, pickle, or chutney.


🫓 2. Palak (Spinach) Chapati



Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 1 cup spinach (palak) leaves

  • 1 green chilli (optional)

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Wash and blanch spinach leaves in hot water for 2 minutes.

  2. Drain and blend into a smooth puree with the green chilli.

  3. Mix wheat flour with salt and cumin seeds.

  4. Add spinach puree gradually and knead into a soft dough. Use water if needed.

  5. Rest the dough for 15 minutes.

  6. Roll into chapatis and cook on hot tawa with light oil/ghee.

  7. Serve with raita or dal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 1 medium beetroot

  • ½ tsp ajwain

  • ½ tsp ginger paste

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Peel and boil beetroot until soft. Let it cool and blend into a smooth puree.

  2. In a bowl, add wheat flour, ajwain, ginger paste, and salt.

  3. Add beetroot puree and knead the dough. Add water if needed.

  4. Rest for 15–20 minutes.

  5. Roll into chapatis and cook on a hot tawa.

  6. Serve with plain curd or spiced chutney.


🫓 4. Methi (Fenugreek) Chapati



Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • Two tablespoons of kasuri methi or one cup of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves

  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash, and finely chop methi leaves.

  2. Mix flour with methi, chilli, ginger-garlic paste, and salt.

  3. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.

  4. Rest for 15 minutes.

  5. Roll and roast the chapatis until golden.

  6. Serve with curd or a light curry.


🫓 5. Stuffed Paneer Chapati



Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed

Stuffing:

  • 1 cup grated paneer

  • ¼ tsp garam masala

  • 1 finely chopped green chilli

  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare soft dough with flour, salt, and water. Rest for 20 minutes.

  2. In a bowl, mix paneer, garam masala, green chilli, coriander, and salt.

  3. Take a dough ball, flatten slightly, place some stuffing in the center.

  4. Roll gently into a chapati without letting the filling spill out, sealing the edges.

  5. Cook on a hot tawa with ghee or oil until golden on both sides.

  6. Serve hot with mint chutney or plain curd.
