1. Vegetable Whole Wheat Momos



Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage

  • 1/2 cup grated carrot

  • 1/4 cup chopped spring onions

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Dough: Mix whole wheat flour with a pinch of salt and water to form a soft dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes.

  2. Filling: Sauté ginger-garlic paste in olive oil. Add cabbage, carrots, spring onions, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until slightly wilted. Cool it.

  3. Shaping: Roll dough into small circles. Add 1 tbsp filling, fold and seal into your preferred momo shape.

  4. Steaming: Place in a steamer lined with parchment paper. Steam the dough for 10 to 12 minutes over medium heat until it becomes translucent.


2. Paneer & Spinach Momos



Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose or whole wheat flour

  • 1 cup crumbled paneer

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped spinach

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp finely chopped green chili (optional)

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Dough: Prepare a soft dough and rest it.

  2. Filling: Mix paneer, spinach, cumin, chili, and salt. No need to cook the filling.

  3. Shaping & Steaming: As above, fill and shape the momos. Steam for 10 minutes.


3. Chicken & Oats Momos



Ingredients

  • 1 cup refined or wheat flour

  • 200g minced chicken

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions

  • 1/4 cup powdered oats

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • Salt, pepper, chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Filling: Mix chicken with oats, onions, garlic paste, soy, and seasonings. Oats help absorb moisture and add fiber.

  2. Shaping: Fill dough rounds with 1 tbsp of raw chicken mix.

  3. Steaming: Steam for 15–20 minutes until fully cooked (chicken turns white and firm).


4. Tofu & Broccoli Momos (Vegan)



Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 cup grated firm tofu

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped broccoli

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger

Instructions

  1. Filling: Lightly sauté ginger in sesame oil, add broccoli, tofu, soy sauce. Stir for 3–4 minutes. Cool the mixture.

  2. Shaping & Steaming: Follow standard method. Steam for 12 minutes.


5. Mushroom & Bell Pepper Momos



Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose or wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped bell peppers (red/yellow)

  • 1/2 onion, chopped

  • 1 tsp garlic, minced

  • Salt, pepper, herbs (oregano, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Filling: Sauté garlic and onion. Add mushrooms and bell peppers. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Cook till moisture evaporates.

  2. Shaping & Steaming: As above. Steam for 10–12 minutes.
